And the Winner Is….

Let me keep you in suspense for at least a moment (yes I realize you could just scroll down) …

I got a LOT of excellent entries for this contest. That was the whole point! There was only one elimination for being out of the 25 mile limit (sorry Mingo Creek) and two for being someplace I’ve used before (North Park and Mellon Park … though it’s one of my very favorite places so a great suggestion!). A few of them I’d seen before and didn’t need to visit (I got married at Avonworth Park and I used to go running at the Highland Park reservoir while my kids played at that wonderful wooden playground). Almost all of the locations are definitely locations I would use for future sessions and I’m so glad I have these ideas!

But after all was said and done I chose my favorite. This place was one I ALMOST eliminated because technically I had done a session there before. But the person gave such a SPECIFIC area of the park and it wasn’t one I had used previously (it’s a very big park) so I checked it out anyway and I’m so glad I did! Stone walls and steps, wooded areas, walking trails, a fallen tree, cute little benches, and a beautiful entryway. My winner was Frick Park!! Thank you Monica Shein for the submission! I’ll be e-mailing you about your free session!

I also noticed during this process that a lot of you don’t follow me on facebook. Please take a moment to fan me over there. I update there a lot more than here!!/pages/Tiny-Toes-Portraits-Childrens-Photography-Pittsburgh/129432188871
