Newborn Lifestyle Photography Session in Gibsonia

This session went a little differently than planned …

Newborns are unpredictable as we all know. Most of my newborn sessions take 3-4 hours and a large part of that time is not spent taking pictures … but rather feeding, rocking, soothing, posing (you have to move very slowly), and getting baby to sleep. Well this little man wasn’t having it. After spending 2 hours getting him to sleep, putting him into a pose, and having him wake up in the process several times (I actually managed to pose him once), mom and I agreed to take another approach.

Lifestyle. I love it.

So instead mom and dad, who hadn’t even planned on being in the pictures, had to ready themselves to be in virtually all of them. And I hope they love the results as much as I do.

P.S. It was a good call because he never did really sleep the entire time I was there.
